Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer calls a list of gun safety proposals from the Trump administration a 180 degree reversal from earlier ideas that President Donald Trump had backed off of in a copout, such as universal background checks and minimum age increases for weapons purchases, that the new plan was only smallbore, National Rifle Association approved policies, including the absurd proposal to send more guns in the classroom by arming teachers, calling the proposal a baby step when America needs to take a giant leap.
