Residents in Doniphan, southwestern Missouri, were among those in the right place to witness the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8. According to https://nationaleclipse.com/states/2024-total-solar-eclipse-missouri.html National Eclipse , the phenomenon lasted four minutes in the city of Doniphan, starting at 1:55 pm local time. The next total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous United States will occur in 2044, and only be visible from North Dakota and Montana, https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/faq/ according to NASA.
