Amazon to launch first broadband internet satellites for Project Kuiper
CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA, US - OCT. 5, 2023: Amazon is to launch its first broadband internet satellites on Friday, October 6.
Satellites for Amazon’s Project Kuiper broadband internet constellation were videoed by Anadolu on Thursday (Oct. 5) in Cape Canaveral, Florida, US.
The first two demonstration satellites, carried by United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket, stand ready for launch on pad 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The prototype satellites, KuiperSat-1 and KuiperSat-2, represent the initial phase of Project Kuiper's plan to produce and launch over 3,200 satellites within the next six years.
