In the foreground the old and rusty iron wall that marks the boundary line between the two countries, more behind the second most recent wall and protected by barbed wire and continuous surveillance by the US Border Patrol. In the background the horizon on the Pacific Ocean coast towards where the wall extends to Imperial Beach.
