Black Thorn durian also know as 黑刺 in Chinese is second or as popular as Musang King grade durian. This is a special breed durian which is very popular in Penang state in Malaysia. In recent years, it is also one of the sought after, loved and expensive premium durian among other grades in Singapore. The cost is usually sold at twice the price of a normal type of durian. The fresh is thick, creamy and flesh is orangy in colour and the taste of fruit is rich, buttery and creamy like toasted marshmallow. It comes with slight bitter sweet notes and emits a sharp, pungent smell. You either love it or hate it. It's always the King of fruits in Asia
