This seventeenth-century manor preserves one of the most beautiful mansions in the Greater Porto. It has a chapel rich in gilded carving and a valuable filling in furniture, painting and sculpture, and the building is surrounded by a six hectares of gardens with pools and granite fountains. It served during decades as summer residence for the clergy of Porto, later to be bought by Portuguese banker Eduardo Espirito Santo. Finally acquired by the municipality, it is one of the tourist attractions offered by this small city, near Porto.
