The Shearer Summer Theatre productions at Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, were performed by the Shearer Players, an all-black repertory group founded by Liz Shearer White (died 1993). White was an African-American independent theatre and film producer, also known for her stage production of Shakespeare's Othello with an all-black cast.
