Additional Police Arrive In Hamilton To Assist With COVID-19 Boundary Checkpoint Operations

HAMILTON, NEW ZEALAND - SEPTEMBER 10: The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) C-130 Hercules arrives with Police reinforcements from around the country to help support the ongoing enforcement efforts at the Waikato/Auckland boundary checkpoints on September 10, 2021 in Hamilton, New Zealand. 45 police officers from Southern, Canterbury, Tasman, Central, Bay of Plenty and Wellington districts have travelled to Hamilton to support enforcement efforts at the Waikato/Auckland boundary checkpoints. Auckland remains under Alert Level 4 lockdown restrictions as new COVID-19 cases continue to emerge in the region, with residents only permitted to leave home for essential purposes.
