The great Greek running machine, Yiannis Kouros, came out of hiding yesterday to accept a challenge to start 12 hours behind the rest of the field in the Westfield Sydney to Melbourne Ultra-marathon.It was an odd challenge, akin to world champion sprinter Ben Johnson agreeing to start 10m behind the blocks in a 100m race, and Kouros did not really want to be there.
