Caretaker Nepalese Prime Minister Prachanda said that his party left the government to fight army supremacy and stand for civilian supremacy. He also reiterated his committment to the peace process. His party left the government after the president of Nepal reverted the decision by the Maoist government to sack the Nepalese chief of army staff. The country has seen political wrangling ever since the former rebel leader turned prime minister Prachanda resigned almost two weeks ago.
