A soldier pushes a barrell containing what is believed to be the world�s oldest bottled single malt whisky as it is launched at Edinburgh Castle, in Scotland, on March 11, 2010. The new-make spirit from Speyside�s Mortlach Distillery was filled into the cask on 15th October 1938 on the order of John Urquhart, the grandfather of Gordon & MacPhail Joint Managing Directors David and Michael Urquhart. Released under Gordon & MacPhail�s �Generations� brand, Mortlach 70 Years Old Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a recommended retail price in the UK is GBP 10,000 (dollars 15,000 or euros 11,000) per 70cl decanter and GBP 2,500 (dollars 3,700 or euros 2,750) for the 20cl version.
