(Original Caption) Sen. William E. Jenner (R), Ind., chairman of the Senate International Committee, asks Attorney General Herbert Brownell to press a "treason charge" against John W. Powell, former editor of the China Weekly Review. Jenner said the charge should be pressed because Powell gave "substantial aid and comfort to the Chinese Reds." Powell who also appeared before the committee refused to answer certain questions invoking the 5th amendment.
