KANCHANABURI, THAILAND: Participants of a mass memorial ceremony walk among the graves at a cemetery of prisoners of war who died building Thailand's infamous Death Railway at an ANZAC day in Kanchanaburi town, 25 April 2004. The railway was built by the Japanese during the Second World war using prisoners of war and forced laborers from several Asian countries at a human cost of about 115,000 lives. Hundreds of Australian and New Zealanders paid their respects with the special dawn vigil at Hellfire pass and later visited the cemetery.
