A Palestinian boy tries to calm his horse as his friend loads sacks of flour on a horse cart next to a warehouse where the United Nations Works and Relief Agency (UNWRA) distributes food aid to Palestinian refugees in Gaza City 25 June 2003. The boys fill their carts with bags of aid and take them to other distribution centers in refugee camps in and around Gaza City. The value of the food relief assistance is about 136 USD per person annually, and most of it is received as in-kind donations from donor governments in the form of basic foodstuffs such as flour, rice, sugar, milk and cooking oil. These typically contain 50kg of flour, 5kg of rice, 5kg of sugar, two litres of cooking oil, one kg of powdered milk and 5kg of lentils.
