News - George Floyd Protest- New York City

MANHATTAN, NY - JUNE 06: One person wearing a mask and another not wearing a mask walk a Bank of American branch that has been boarded up and has art work on the boards that says, "You Are Amazing NYC" with a heart. Many stores around New York have been boarded up based the on vandalism and looting that has occurred over the past few nights. In response, Mayor Bill de Blasio has put New York City is under a curfew that starts at 8 PM daily. Protesters keep taking to the streets across America and around the world after the killing of George Floyd at the hands of a white police officer Derek Chauvin that was kneeling on his neck during his arrest as he pleaded that he couldn't breathe. The protest are attempting to give a voice to the need for human rights for African American's and to stop police brutality against people of color.
