Lt. Sam McConnel, Aide to Captain MacAulley, looks on as the award is made at the premier of "Action in the North Atlantic" The Warner Bros. story of American Merchant Marines Making dangerous convoy runs. The flag is the U.S. Maritime Service's Vicyory Flag. Four Maritime Service Heroes and 300 seamen took part in the ceremonies on the strand theater stage.
