Mungo MacCallumA great-grandson of the late Sir Mungo MacCallum, a former professor of English literature and Vice-Chancellor of Sydney University, yesterday gained one of the highest passes in the city boys Leaving Certificate examination results.The boy-also a Mungo MacCallum — repeated a year at school because he was too young at 16 last year to enter university.Now he wants to go to university and "stay in academic life."MacCallum, of Henrietta Street, Double Bay, was a pupil at Cranbrook School, Vaucluse.He gained first-class honours in English, Mathematics I and II, and As in Latin and Modern History.
