Solingen Marks 25th Anniversary Of Arson Murder
SOLINGEN, GERMANY - MAY 29: Mevlude Genc, mother of two victims, during the commemoration of the arson attack on the house of the Turkish Genc family 25 years ago on May 29, 2018 in Solingen, Germany. On May 29, 1993 neo-Nazis set the house of a Turkish family on fire, resulting in the deaths of two adults and three children. Police arrested four suspects, all of them locals who were later sentenced to prison for the attack. The crime came in the wake of a string of anti-foreigner riots and incidents in 1991 and 1992, mostly in eastern Germany, following German reunification. (Photo by Michael Gottschalk/Getty Images)
