Citing sources close to the case, the Houston Chronicle reported 07 January 2004, that US District Judge David Hittner denied the plea agreement, which called for Lea Fastow to serve five months in prison, because it gave him no room to add to her sentence. Lea Fastow's trial is set for 10 February , while her husband's trial is scheduled for April - both in Houston,Texas.
