Kim and Krickitt Carpenter, who inspired the Hollywood movie The Vow

Just ten weeks after her wedding, a horrific car accident put Krickitt in a coma for four months. When she awoke, she had no memory of the two years leading up to the accident. She didn't even know who her husband was. Thanks to Kim's determination to rehabilitate his young wife, Kim and Krickitt got married for a second time three years after the accident. They've now been married for 18 years and have a new set of memories together. Their story inspired the Holywood movie The Vow, directed by Michael Sucsy, with actors Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum to play their roles. (Photo by Evan Hurd/Corbis via Getty Images)
