Five Dead And 200 Injured After Car Plows Into Magdeburg Christmas Market In Apparent Terror Attack

Police arrested a man after he drove a black BMW past security obstacles and into the busy Christmas market in the early evening yesterday. The attacker is reportedly a Saudi national who has been living in Germany since 2006 and worked as a psychotherapist. In social media posts he was critical of Germany but also of Islam and the "Islamization" of Germany. He expressed support for policies of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD).
