(Original Caption) Billings, Montana: Finding a preteen look-alike to portray actor Dustin Hoffman as a child proved one of the most challenging casting assignments of the year. Ray Dimas, a nine-year-old who bears a striking resemblance to Dusty, was discovered by director Arthur Penn in the best of Hollywood traditions--sipping an ice cream soda at a candy store. Dusty really travels the time machine in Cinema Center Films' Little Big Man. He portrays a 121-year-old sole white survivor of Custer's last stand. Make-up will transform Hoffman to that age as look-alikes over a hundred years old are hard to come by--even in Hollywood. 3/31/1970
