An Indian train speeds past a deserted p

An Indian train speeds past a deserted platform of the abandoned Begunkodor Railway Station, some 330kms north-west of Kolkata on January 4, 2008. Begunkodor, a station in Purulia District, where no train has stopped since 1972, apparently because of a phantom woman who dances on the platform or walks along the tracks. Elders of nearby villages tell of a woman who was run over by a train a vision of whom has alledgedly appeared walking alongside the station in a white sari. Officials of Indian railways are considering reopening the station after appeals from local members of parliament.
