Henry Ford II and Lewis S Rosenstiel with Awards
(Original Caption) Lewis S. Rosenstiel (left) and Henry Ford II show each other the awards they received at a dinner given December 13th by the Joint Defense Appeal of the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith, at the Hotel Plaza in New York. Rosenstiel was cited for his "leadership in the fight against racial and religious bigotry," and Ford, addressing more than 600 industrial, civic and business leaders, said that "America's true greatness" lies in the ability of Americans to work and live together in harmony. Ford heads the Ford Motor Company, while Rosenstiel is president of Schenley Industries.
